Meet Luna & Indigo

Welcome! We are sisters who were born at home, four-ish years apart, into the hands of the same midwife.

Growing up, our godmother was a midwife who worked for legislative change regarding birth choice in our state, and our mother was a prenatal massage therapist/labor doula. Our household was brimming with birth stories—and we couldn’t get enough.

Fast forward a decade or two and here we are.

Indigo is a midwife and lactation consultant with 4+ years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse in high-volume New York City hospitals.

Luna is a DONA-trained labor and birth doula (currently working towards certification) and a member of the NYC Doula Collective—as well as a writer and illustrator.

We founded Blue Moon Birth Care because we believe that everyone should have the power to write their own birth story and the tools to navigate unexpected plot twists.
